Accessing Scan Logs

Learn what information you can find and how you access Scan Logs.

After creating and running scan profiles, Horizon allows you to access the scan logs under Home→ Scan Profiles page. To get started, click on any of the scan profile names under the name column.

How to Access Scan Logs

Once you click on a Scan Profile, you can access

  1. Scan Logs

  2. Targets

  3. Meta Info

Click Run Now to run the scan on a manual-adhoc basis again.

Click on one of the tabs to get started.

1. Scan Logs

You can access scan logs of attack surface scan or application scan along with the following information. Click Scan Logs tab to access scan logs.

A unique Scan ID is created for each scan. Click the drop-down button under each Scan Group ID column to access more information about a particular scan. Under each Scan ID, Horizon shows more information about the scan such as

  1. Target Name

  2. Status

  3. Scan

  4. Progress

  5. Started At (Date and Time)

  6. Completed At (Date and Time)

2. Targets

Horizon also shows you the associated targets in each scan. Click Targets tab to access target information.

Under the Targets tab, you can see List of Targets table. Under List of Targets

  1. Target Name

  2. Target Type

  3. Status (Verified or Unverified)

  4. Assets Mapped

  5. Created At

If you want to see what assets are mapped to any of the target, click on __ discovered under Assets Mapped column. This will take you to the Attack Surface scan page with a filter pre-applied for the particular target.

Note - To access Assets Mapped, an attack surface scan must have been run on the target.

Sort

Horizon also gives you an option to easily navigate the targets page by sorting columns. You can sort Targets and Created At columns.

Click on ‘Target’ in the column title to sort the targets in ascending order. Horizon organizes the target's names and numbers in ascending order. Click again on the column title to sort in descending order.

Click on ‘Created At’ in the column title to sort by date in ascending order; earliest date first. Click again to sort by descending order.

3. Meta Info

Under the Meta Info tab, you can see other meta-information about the scan such as

  1. Scan Description

  2. Scan Profile Type

  3. Schedule Trigger type

  4. Other meta information
