Navigating Issues Overview

Learn what information you can find in the Issues Overview page

After running an application scan on the target, you can see a list of issues under Issues>Overview.

List of Issues

  1. HID - Refers to Horizon ID. It is a unique identifier for a specific issue.

  2. Issue - Gives you the list of issues discovered during the surface scan.

  3. Category - Reports if the issue was discovered during a Surface scan or an Application Scan or DFM.

  4. Status - Depending on the issue, it can be categorized as Active, Resolved, Confirmed, Accepted or False Positive.

  5. Severity- Specifies the level of risk these issues pose to the organization. Based on this, they are classified as High, Medium, Low or Informational. You can sort this column by clicking on the column title.

  6. CWE ID - Common Weakness Enumeration ID.

  7. Last Detected - You can choose the order of issues displayed by arranging them in the order of when they were detected.

Note - Issues that are listed as Digital Footprint in the category section, are the ones that have been manually added in the Digital Footprint Feed. To know more, Click here

Search

In the Issues section, you can search for specific issues. Click search and enter any keyword to search for any particular issue.

You can choose to do an Exact search(to get an exact match on your search term) ****or ****a Broad search.

Filters

Select Target

In case you have multiple targets, you can filter them to get target-specific results using this feature.

Click Select Target and select any one of the options you wish to filter.

Note - By default, Horizon shows you the Issues filtered by the status Active and Confirmed.

Status

Based on their status, you can filter issues as-

  1. Active

  2. Confirmed

  3. Resolved

  4. Accepted

  5. False positive

Severity

Issues can also be filtered on the basis of their severity-

  1. High

  2. Medium

  3. Low

  4. Informational

Note - By default, Horizon shows you the most severe issues first. You can change the sequence by clicking on the column title.

Sort

Horizon also gives you the option to navigate the issues page by sorting columns. You can sort the Last Detected column.

Click on Last Detected in the column title to sort by date in ascending order; earliest date first. Click again to sort by descending order.

You can also sort the issues on the basis of severity. Click on Severity in the column title to do so.

Activity Log

Horizon helps you keep track of user activity in the activity log. Scroll below the List of Targets to find the activity section. Select Choose Activity Date Range for a custom date range.
